8.5 - Summary

Data validation is an important debugging tool for ADAMO applications. The process of data validation is illustrated by the program validate which first introduces inconsistencies in attribute values and relationship cardinalities and then checks for data consistency according to the rules laid out in the DDL of the currently declared dictionary. The concepts introduced in this chapter are:

Validation

The process of making sure that at a given time the values of entities and relationships correspond to the rules laid out in the DDL concerning value ranges and relationship properties.
